Canyon Lake Camping Trip

We just got back a couple days ago from our "Wymore Family" annual camping trip at Canyon Lake. This year our camping time was cut short due to excessive heat-over 103F everyday- with heat index around 109F, extreme drought conditions which took away the campgrounds designated "swimming area", and a strict burn ban that took away our fun of making "smores" over a campfire. Thank God we have an air-conditioned travel trailer we spent time in when we weren't on the lake otherwise we would have all cooked! Here are some of our family memories of

"Canyon Lake, Texas~ 2009"
(Hill Country north of San Antonio)

The swimming area... all dried up, so our swimming was cut short! But we still had lots of fun on a rented ski boat swimming and tubing even though the lake level was low!

The sunshine of my life~ Kirk.

Hanging out in an air-conditioned trailer (below)... I know, not quite the "roughing it" camping, but hey, what can we say!

Joe turns 5 while we're on our camping trip!

We saw many deer. This one was right outside our trailer.
