Memorial Day Weekend~

Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

Amidst the backyard BBQ'ing and hanging with friends and family, I take time to say a prayer for all who gave their life for my freedom and yours.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me. -Lee Greenwood

Nice post Teri. We have Remembrance Sunday in November - traditionally to remember those who died in the 2 world wars, but now in all other conflicts too.
